1) Skin Whitening:

It is a natural bleach. Make a mixture by adding two tablespoons of cucumber juice, one tablespoon of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of glycerin and half a teaspoon of rose water. Use a cotton ball and dab the mixture on your face. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and then wash off with normal water.

2) Hydrates skin and heals sunburn:

Cucumbers have hydrating qualities that have also made it a popular ingredient in beauty products. Cucumber juice and yogurt (mixed with equal amount) mask helps reduce sunburn. It hydrates skin and removes blackheads.

3) Removes tan:

To remove tan, mix  2 tablespoons of powdered oats with  2 tsp of  plain yogurt and 2 tsp of cucumber juice. Apply it on the affected area and wash it off after 15-20 minutes.

4) Anti-ageing benefits:

Cucumbers are great anti-ageing food. It contains essential nutrients and vitamins that slow down the ageing process. Add two tablespoons curd with ½  tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and half cup grated cucumber. Apply on face and leave it for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water.

5) Soothes dark circles, puffy eyes:

To get rid of puffy eyes instantly, simply slice the cucumber and place the slices over your eyes. Relax for 15-30 minutes. The coolness properties in cucumbers along with the vitamin C and caffeic acid reduces swelling.

6) Controls oil secretion:

Cucumbers control oil very effectively. Combine 1 tsp of turmeric, 1/2 cup cucumber pulp and also a teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply on face and leave it for 15-20 minutes and wash off with warm water.

7) For healthy shiny hair:

When it comes to healthy hair, Silica is the most important mineral to strengthen hair follicles. Cucumbers promote hair growth due to its high content of silicon and sulphur. Apply cucumber juice on your scalp and leave for 15-20 minutes. Wash it off with a good shampoo.
