Milk

Recent studies suggest that milk is really helpful when it comes to losing belly fat. A 2010 research on 100 premenopausal women at the University of Alabama at Birmingham found that among these women, those who consumed enough calcium-rich food reduced a significant weight compared to those who did not consume. It was found that, for every 100 milligrams of calcium they consumed per day, they lost an inch of the abdominal fat which can increase the risk of heart disease and cancer.

Nuts

If nuts are your favorite snack, you're most certainly eating the right food! Many people shy away from nuts because of high amounts of fats and calories, but nuts have healthy fats and proteins with lots of fibers. These healthy fats control your sugar levels, making you feel fuller for a longer period of time and curbing your appetite. This ultimately leads you to burn belly fat and get lean abs. Moreover, nuts are also rich in magnesium. Magnesium is very helpful if you have sleep troubles. A study found that irregular sleep can lead to overeating and weight gain.

Fish

According to the study, marine foods are a good source of omega-3s fatty acids that promote appetite control and help to burn the body fat. So, the fatty acids in fish also promote the burning of fats. When your diet is deficient in omega-3s, the production of melatonin - the sleep hormone, from the pineal gland in the brain is altered which leads to sleep troubles. Irregular sleep patterns lead to overeating, depression and weight gain.
